The DFPC values the insight and interest young people have for food system sustainability and food security for all. We support the initiatives brought about by young people who realize the importance of food system sustainability in our societal infrastructure. We encourage their visionary involvement as one of the ways the core values of the Durham Food Charter can be furthered. To thrive, DFPC must consider beyond the present and think of those who will continue to ameliorate food systems for years to come. In doing so, DFPC seeks to develop policy and act in manner that is informed by and supporting of the perspectives of young people.
